So I listened to the audio on my commute and walks and that was cool because it was narrated by Marian Keyes herself and I really got into all of those Irish sayings that are unfamiliar to me, like 'work away' and 'grand' and 'literally' (although that's not really just an Irish thing) and 'feck' of course and then, when each night I picked up the hard copy to continue where I had left off, I could read it in that wonderful Irish accent in my head and it was way more fun. There were so many characters that it was a bit confusing, but it also seemed kinda interesting so I went a bought a cheap copy from one of those big retailers that book lovers like me rarely buy from (but since this is an international author who is popular and has written heaps of books I feel less bad, plus I wasn't going to buy it anyway so I figured it wasn't really taking away from the indie booksellers I usually buy from.) The benefit of this hard copy was the character map at the start!! So helpful! Anyway the audiobook appeared as a new release on my library app and it was available and I needed a new book, so I borrowed it.

I heard a podcast discuss this book, and the women speaking said they enjoyed it.and I thought.Marian Keyes, isn't that, like, chick lit? I also thought it was interesting that a book came out this year called 'Adults' and this was called 'Grown Ups' and generally I thought is this exploration of 'adulting' a trend? I don't remember what it was about or what happened, but I remember it being light and having weird words (to me) in it like 'feck'.haha! I probably picked it up in a hostel or something. I think remember reading one Marian Keyes book waaaay back in 2006 when I was travelling. I need to tell you about why I even read this to give my thoughts context.
